Areas of Expertise

Motivational Interviewing

Struggling to find motivation for change? Lets work together to find out why there is so much resistance, and build discipline and knowledge together.

Experiential Therapy

Sometimes talk therapy just doesn't "click". Together I can guide you through activities or "adventures" to engage both your body and mind in the process of learning about yourself, growing, healing, and creating change.

Mindfulness and
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

Utilizing evidence-based dialectical behavioral therapy techniques to address thought patterns and behaviors to promote positive mental health and well-being. This is centered around learning about mindfulness (what it is, and how to use it) as creating new skills to self-soothe. You will learn to manage uncomfortable thoughts and environments, and change ineffective thinking patterns and actions.

Strength Based and Solution Focused

You are the expert on your life. I can be your guide. Strength-based means that you have many strengths that you are already using if your day to day life- lets discover together what they are and how you can use them more effectively, or in different settings to increase overall wellbeing. We work together to come up with realistic solutions for issues and stressors, using both skills you know well, and new ones learned in psychotherapy.

My Approach

I am dedicated to providing a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment, where clients can explore their emotions and experiences in a safe and non-judgmental space. My approach integrates various therapeutic techniques tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual, promoting healing and personal growth.

In addition to the techniques listed above, I also utilize strategies found in Somatic Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.

If all of this sounds confusing to you - no need to worry. All it means is that there are many ways to heal and learn about yourself in psychotherapy, and we can try different approaches to find what is best for you.

My practice is open and supportive to people of all genders, ages, sexual orientation, backgrounds, and ethnicities. I believe in de-stigmatizing mental health as we all deserve support in this human experience.

About Me

Welcome!

Everyone has a story. How we tell it matters.

I got into counseling because I myself needed help understanding the world and dealing with my own relationship dynamics and mental well-being. We all have stressors as well as joys!

I have been working with adults, teens, and families since 2012. This has included working in private practice, residential treatment, wilderness therapy, community mental health centers and non-profit agencies in various capacities.

Outside of counseling, I spend as much time with my friends and family as possible. If this is outdoors playing in the mountains, or on the ocean, even better.  I truly believe in the healing power of nature and movement and bring as much of it into my practice and daily life as I can. Healing is one of my strongest passions, so I am often found reading books or listening to podcasts on therapy and relationships.
